Game Jams

What is a Game Jam?

Game jams are when teams of people get together to create a game in a short period of time, from start to finish. VGDC game jams usually last a weekend, and involve a theme that teams’ games must tie into. VGDC hosts game jams in the Winter and Spring, and we usually have upwards of 60 people attend. Game jams are an intense challenge, but there are few things as rewarding as seeing the game you’ve worked on begin as a crazy idea, and grow to a finished product you can be proud to present to the club.

Spring Game Jam 2015

Theme: Randomness

VGDC’s 2015 Spring Game Jam took place over the weekend of April 10-12. Each team had to develop a game incorporating the theme of randomness. However, as an added, twist, each team was randomly given an extra theme from ideas submitted by club member prior to the event.
